Questions and Answers
Are there car starters that will also operate the remote door opener of a 2007 Toyota Sienna? Thanks.? I want to get my wife a remote car starter, but so far I haven't found one that will also operate the remote door opening feature. I don't want her to have to carry an additional remote on her key chain. It's big enough as it is!

KaeZoo replied: "There are many different remote start systems that include keyless entry functions. As far as I can tell, there's nothing particularly difficult about making them work with the locking system in a 2007 Sienna. Any remote start unit with a lock/unlock button on the remote can be made to work with your van. A popular model that would have the features you want is the Viper 160XV. However, there are many others available. Any local remote start dealer should have something that will fit your needs."

phd12volt replied: "i believe your talking about the sliding doors correct??? and yes we have no issues interfacing with them. Just make sure whatever unit you choose to install has the necessary outputs to do lock/unlock/ and 2 extra channels to integrate with the sliding doors"

I would like to know if it possible to put a remote car starter on a Toyota Yaris? I recently purchased one for the wife and was wondering if this is a aftermarket feature that I can have installed?

angel_lillian001 replied: "My husband says as long as it is an automatic. Otherwise you will need to purchase a clutch enabler"

ImportDemonGT replied: "Most aftermarket shops in your area have alarm systems for sale as well in this category is " remote car starters". Bull dog alarms do carry one for your car and the top of the line model has two way paging as well as remote starters. Whether you may have an automatic or manual transmission they can search for your specific application. Best of Luck"

mitt w replied: "Ohh double question- the answer is still YES!! LOL"

myothernewname replied: "Angel's old man is right, As long as it has a auto tranny, hooks right up, and if not, need the clutch switch, and has to me in neutral when starting, All the clutch switch does is bypass the lil switch that sits at the top of the foot peg on the clutch, just two wires easily bypassed"

How much would it cost to buy and install a remote car starter for a 2005 toyota camery? and does anybody know where I can get one around New Hampshire?

garthlocklin replied: "Hi. It should be $200 or less. Check JC Whitney catalog....its a mail order parts company.....they got all kinds of neat car gadgets."

Fly B replied: "I had one put into a 97 Toyota Camry last year for 300 and change... Canadian dollars. Not sure what the exchange rate would be for wherever you live. Love the starter, best 300 bucks I ever spent!"

I have a 2004 Toyota Corolla what kind of remote car starter will I need? Can I use just any or will it have to be from the Toyota Dealer?

Cha replied: "u can use any."

tlworkroom replied: "The only requirement is that you have an automatic tranny in it. that's so that the car will start in gear with no trouble. If standard or manual tranny, then you can't use car starter remotes. But if you've got an AT in it, then any you can get, even at Walmart, will work, just need to have it installed correctly. And let me tell you, those suckers are really nice to start up car 5 mins before leaving on a cold morning!! Lovely!!"

Car remote starter installation for a 2007 Toyota Camery? I have a 2007 Toyota Camrey with an automatic transmission and no car alarm. Is this an easy installation for the do it yourselfer or should I need to have it installed by a profesional?

jr replied: "My understanding is that they are fairly easy to install. However if you do it yourself you may void your warranty. It would be better to have it installed professionally by a warranty approved technician or check with your manufacturer."

yoboyandre replied: "I as well have a toyota and i just got an alarm/remote start put in. First i was thinking i would do it myself, but once you start trying you see it does get complicated. If your good with voltages and mulitmeter then i think you should be fine. Its mostly about finding the starter and ignition wires. My system was much more complicated because it was an alarm as well. Should be a little hard to install, but with plenty of time and penitence you could get it done."

How much would a remote car starter with installation cost? I was thinking for Christmas this year that I would get my boyfriend a remote car starter. He drives a 2003 Toyota Camry. I have tried to look around and find information, but I'm not sure I know the right places to look. I am not even sure where to take the car to have something like that installed. Does anyone know how much this costs and where I would need to take it to have it installed? (Also, we live in New England...not sure if location changes how much it costs.)

HEAD M&M IN CHARGE replied: "around 290 give or take a few"

acwench2000 replied: "$100-$150 US DOLLARS"

How much does a starter cost for a 2001 toyota corolla? I just bought this car last week and now my starter is shot, it won't come on. I thought it had something to do with my remote car starter but now I don't think it's the case. A friend checked my car and said that I need to buy another car starter, but he didn't know the price for a toyota corolla starter.

Riley replied: "Say what? Buy another car starter?? Why would you buy another car starter anymore?!"

ccourier512002 replied: "To get a price for the starter. Call your local dealer/auto parts place and they can tell you."

martingomezkiara replied: "starter can run you from 60 to 180 dollars but depending on your location there is places that can overhaul your own starter for about 50 dollars. at the dealer you may also buy electrical solenoid contacts wich is the most comon problem, call them and ask it does not hurt to check the price for repair parts if you live in los angeles call miller toyota at 310 559 3777"

s p replied: "2.15 lac"

Remote car starter. Does anyone know the average cost? I want to have one put in my 2009 Toyota Corolla. I am not certain if that will be possible. Someone told me you cannot have them put in Corolla's. I am wondering if anyone could give me an idea of the cost including installation? I would want a professional to do it. I am looking for just the basic remote car starter. Thanks

binalton replied: "I don't know of any reason you couldn't put one in your Corolla. I would expect to pay $150-$250."

jackie o replied: "at the dealership they cost between $180.00-$200.00 and they install it! at least thats how much mine cost"
